Wings Over Sumter
I suppose since it is over a year old, this would qualify as trivia history
now. If you viewed the DVD you will remember....if you missed it, that's probably
good....well, not really..here's a few scenes from "Wings over Sumter".
I just really wish I'd gotten a shot of Doug K4SDB looking for that wide spot!
The DVD can be borrowed, or if you want a copy, just let one of the "producers"
(k4vbh, ke4vpd,w4vir) know and we'll fix you up a freebie one.
Probably as many showed up to see the vintage planes as would have been at
a club meeting. It was fun and educational as well. The club program (April
05)at which time we all viewed the film was a great time as well. Sad to see
that even that short frame of time, we have lost one of our own that was in
the film...Max N4IFO (silent key)
left at radio op position is Jim K4VBH, nx is Machinegunner George Triggerfinger.
Commonsense sign found in B17. Next is bookcover about the plane.
Most all came and went over the two days and a good time enjoyed by all.
That's it for time travel...more later...maybe
